All Revealed: The Story Behind The Smile High Club

To celebrate the launch of the second edition of the Smile High Club T-Shirt design and it's latest collaboration giveaway with Voices Radio. I thought I would pop on here and explain more about the ethos... There's three parts to club outlined on the back of the design in three definitive key points.

The Inspiration 

I created this t-shirt inspired by the feeling of being in a crowd, the feeling of being with strangers, your friends, surrounded by tens of thousands of people. Listening the roar, cheer or signing around you. Whether thats a rave or gig, the feeling of experiencing something amazing happening. You might find peace, euphoria, elation, nostalgia, a sense of togetherness or just have an absolute belter and boogie the night away. 

Obviously there's the 'mile high club', an almost elitist, elusive term, people would talk about, "Have you been to that club?" I wanted to flip this on it's head and come up with something you feel about being in a music space.

 

It's also about the music, no matter what is playing, whether that's house, disco, tech, electro, whatever. 

The club is free and this is your vip ticket in, it's impeccable, there is no dress code and no rules. It's welcoming, it's contagious and everyone is smiling. 

This design comes in a black or white T-Shirt, Long Sleeve Tee, and Hood. And so to does the Insignia design of the club. If you feel this about music, being in a crowd, join the club.
